In a 160sq' meter high concrete ceiling space, this ice cream store was designed with contrast to its habitat.
Black and white concrete floor tiles, white subway tiles mounted in a "fishbone" pattern on the lower part of the walls and light color stucco on the remaining of the walls provide an "old & new" style.
The open kitchen walls were painted in dark grey, like all the built furniture and display.
To the exposed grey concrete ceiling we added an exposed ac duct along the store and exposed water and electrical pipes and tunnels.
Hanging light fixtures and hanging ventilators connect this "industrial"
ceiling to the design of the floor area. For the one thing missing, color, we provided a big shelf display for all the sweet products and of course the ice cream it self.
